The transparent and welcoming environment both reflects JAX鈥檚 energy and culture and serve as a robust recruiting tool, with 50% of targeted staff recruited within two months of project completion. The design encourages collaboration through innovated shared core lab organization, visual connections between spaces, and amenity spaces that balance the intensity of scientific focus.
The 189,000 SF facility sustains 300 biomedical researchers, technicians, and support staff with office, research, education, and amenity spaces, as well as public spaces. State-of-the-art labs are designed to adapt as lab ratios flex with research initiatives. A focus on energy efficiency, rainwater harvesting, and site wetland conservation, achieving LEED Gold certification.
